Dzimbahwe Women Art Initiatives

Our women art initiatives helps less privileged women to develop an inner drive that allow them to pave their own creative paths. As a hub we have dedicated our art and culture education activities to become a great pillar specially for women creatives and cultural practitioners, foster positive social change, help package channeling the message of women economic empowerment through women creative and cultural initiatives. During our initiatives we also take time to address issues concerning women such as gender based violence, early child marriages, early pregnancies and sexual reproductive rights. Our main beneficiaries and target are those young women creatives and cultural practitioners who are doing extraordinary works in their small rural village and no one knows about them. Also to consider, less privileged women as they are the most affected by different challenges such as environmental degradation, climate change and human wildlife conflicts. As a Hub we aim to support, advocate and connect women creatives and help them earn a living through their talents.

Mentorship and Needs of girls

A special concern for programs seeking to enable the access to quality education of orphans and vulnerable children is the needs of girl child. As is well known, girls’ education frequently falls behind that of boys for a whole host of reasons. These include factors such as parents’ and care-givers’ decision to prioritize the use of scarce resources on the education of boys and cultural expectations on the division of labour that make girls more likely to have tasks that prevent them from attending school such as household chores or caretaking of younger siblings or sick members of the family. Vulnerability is likely only to exacerbate the impact of such factors, creating a vicious cycle in which the vulnerable girl child becomes ever more likely to become the mother of vulnerable children. Girls corner were once a week as the children guidance will have to visit and have a girls conversation corner.
